First Harvest Ministries emphasizes a very intentional, Scripture-centered approach to prayer that focuses on alignment, not formulas. A few key “signature” techniques often taught are:
- Praying the Word: Turning specific promises of Scripture into personal, spoken prayer
- Agreement in prayer: coming into united, verbal agreement as a body for a clear request
- Thanksgiving in advance: thanking God for His will and provision before results are seen
- Lifestyle repentance and obedience: removing known hindrances so prayers are not blocked
