I spent 48 hours in Ljubljana and found it to be one of the most picturesque and sustainable capitals in Europe. What stood out most was how the city has turned congested inner‑city streets into pedestrian zones and backed that up with excellent bike and electric car‑share schemes.
I explored almost everything on foot or by bike, using public transport only when needed, which made it easy to keep my footprint low while still seeing a lot. The combination of medieval streets, green spaces like Tivoli Park, and practical, low‑impact transport made Ljubljana feel both relaxed and forward‑thinking.
Is there a particular aspect of Ljubljana you’re most curious about – transport, nature, or the old town vibe?
